LIQUID TROPHIC-VITAMIN D3
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin best known for its protective effects on bones. Vitamin D has been used to strengthen bone mass and prevent bone loss, protect against muscle weakness and promote strong teeth. It is also used to prevent rickets and postmenopausal osteoporosis. Interestingly, very few foods naturally contain vitamin D. Some food sources include eggs from chickens fed vitamin D and fatty fish such as herring, mackerel, sardines and tuna. We acquire most of our vitamin D through daily exposure to the sun, so in the Nordic countries it is important to supplement. Vitamin D is stored in body fat until it is used. It is effective in preventing bone and muscle disorders, such as osteoporosis (reduction of bone mass) and osteomalacia (softening of bones).
